Your Festival Style Guide

Festival season is well and truly underway, and while it seems a bit pointless to worry about your outfit whilst trekking through muddy grass between stages and queuing for lukewarm beer, putting some thought into your outfit isn’t such a bad idea. Festivals are an ideal time to experiment with brighter colours and accessories that you wouldn’t usually wear (as well as providing a great photo op).

Think of your upcoming festival as a chance to push your style boundaries, you’re not heading to your 9-5 job or running errands, so inject some high-energy fun into your daily wardrobe with some tie-dye tees, bucket hats and tactical vests. While style is important, practicality is arguably even more of a consideration. For those of you heading to the likes of Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds or Wireless, light and comfortable waterproof gear is essential as you’re practically guaranteed a rainy day.

As well as being water resistant, lightweight jackets from brands like RAINS, Nike ACG and Arc’teryx will be your saviour against occasional showers (as well as being quick-drying). If you’re heading to a sure-to-get-soaked festival, a water resistant crossbody bag is another essential to ensure your phone, keys and wallet stay dry while keeping your hands free for important things like talking photos and holding beer.

When it comes to your packing list, keep in mind that festivals aren’t the place to wear your favourite white T-shirt. Pack comfortable pieces that are easy to move and dance in, think graphic tees, cargo shorts and sweatshirts, for cooler days, check out some of our favourite picks from brands like Nike ACG, Aries and RAINS down below.
